Staffing Veteran Adam Forbes joins Meritus Capital as Senior VP of Partnerships

‍Meritus Capital announces Adam Forbes as their new Senior Vice President of Partnerships, extending the reach of their executive team at the forefront of North American payroll funding. With over 20 years of experience scaling staffing and insurance programs, Forbes’ grasp of California’s regulatory framework will strengthen the team’s ability to provide tailored funding solutions – particularly for their large subset of West Coast staffing clients.

A former staffing owner, Forbes continued to specialize in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) programs, offering agencies a proactive approach to managing risk. “When staffing companies have the right funding structure, they can afford insurance coverage that protects them in a highly unregulated industry,” says Forbes. “When these elements align, companies build a foundation for long-stability and growth, allowing them to focus on their core mission of connecting talent with opportunity.”

Early in his career as an operations manager, Forbes faced an unexpected shutdown that left nearly 400 employees in limbo. In response – and with no prior ownership experience – he negotiated temporary placements for all affected workers and laid the groundwork to launch his own company. He quickly realized his line of credit couldn’t meet the payroll demands for his growing workforce.

It was during this time Forbes discovered payroll funding. “It wasn’t just about the money,” he says. “It was about having the assurance that payroll would always be covered, freeing me to focus on growing a business for the long term.”
